input devices are used to capture or enter data into the computer.Before  data can be used within a computer system,it is usually necessary to convert them into a format that supports processing by computer.Most data are held in human-sensible form that is in a format that makes them directly accessible to human beings.Input devices convert data into a form that makes them machine-sensible.

• Output

Output devices translate the result of processing-output-into human-readable form.The result of a calculation,for example,might be display on screen or sent to printer. An output device may also transfer data requiring further processing to a storage device.
